Hyundai Department Store Group Completely Revamps H Point App for 'Customer Customization'
Open Celebration Event Until the 24th
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seung-jin] Hyundai Department Store Group is completely revamping its integrated membership service ‘H Point’ mobile app to enhance customer convenience and strengthen communication with customers.
Hyundai Department Store Group announced on the 6th that it will renew and launch the integrated membership service H Point mobile app. H Point is a service used by about 9 million members that allows customers to accumulate points from a portion of the amount spent at all Hyundai Department Store Group affiliates’ online and offline stores and use the accumulated points like cash.
The revamped mobile app features improved customer convenience. The categories have been reclassified from the customer’s perspective into “accumulate,” “use,” and “benefits” for easy understanding at a glance. Also, while the event and promotion content displayed on the main screen was previously edited in order by the manager, it can now be customized to show functions frequently used by customers. Additionally, a ‘prepaid recharge’ feature has been added, allowing users to recharge points using credit cards, cash, or Hyundai Department Store gift certificates.
The app also includes a ‘Point Walk’ feature that accumulates mileage convertible into points simply by walking. For every 500 steps, users earn 5 Point Walk mileage points (Jelly), which can be converted into H Points starting from 1,000 points. If the user holds less than 3,000 Jelly points, only 50% can be converted into points, while if they exceed 6,100 Jelly points, 100% can be converted. This feature will first be applied to the Android version and is scheduled to be introduced to the iOS version within this month. A new ‘Point Donation’ feature is also introduced, allowing users to donate accumulated points to support hearing-impaired children or abandoned dogs.
To celebrate the full revamp of the mobile app, Hyundai Department Store Group will hold an opening congratulatory prize event until the 24th. Prizes include a ‘Carnival 4th Generation 9-Seater Signature (1 winner),’ ‘LG Tromm Styler (3 winners),’ ‘iPad Air 4th Generation (5 winners),’ and ‘AirPods Pro (10 winners),’ which will be awarded through a lottery. Any H Point member can participate by clicking the participation button on the event page. Winners can be checked on the mobile app on the 8th of next month.
