S-Oil Spent 670 Million Won on Kimjang Kimchi Over 14 Years... Distributing 1,250 Boxes Again This Year
Sharing Love Kimjang, Total 10kg 36,000 Boxes... Support for Low-Income Families and Welfare Facilities
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Ulsan City will hold the "14th Love Kimchi Sharing Event with Good Company S-OIL" at 4 p.m. on the 4th in the plaza in front of the City Volunteer Center inside Dongcheon Gymnasium.
About 40 people, including Song Cheol-ho, Mayor of Ulsan, Park Byeong-seok, Chairman of Ulsan City Council, Kim Moon-sik, Chairman of the City Volunteer Center, Hussein A. Al-Katani, CEO of S-OIL, President Park Bong-su, Vice President Lee Young-baek, and Executive Director Oh Seok-dong, will attend the event organized by the Ulsan City Volunteer Center.
The "S-OIL Love Kimchi Sharing Event," sponsored for the 14th year since 2007, will deliver 1,250 boxes of finished kimchi products (10 kg per box) to 130 social welfare facilities in the district to prevent COVID-19 infection.
Mayor Song Cheol-ho of Ulsan said, "Thanks to S-OIL, Taehwalu, a cultural symbol of Ulsan, has been restored, the doctor car is operating at the Ulsan Trauma Center, and the completion of the Taehwa River Baekri Bamboo Grove section has improved citizens' quality of life," adding, "S-OIL, a leading company in social contribution, is taking the lead in supporting warm and healthy winters for marginalized neighbors."
Hussein A. Al-Katani, CEO of S-OIL, said, "Although companies are going through difficult times due to the global spread of COVID-19, we cannot ignore marginalized neighbors in the local community," and added, "Let us work together to overcome the cold winter and bring a warm spring through continuous interest and support for those in need."

Through the 14 years of the kimchi sharing event, S-OIL has delivered about 22,000 boxes of 10 kg kimchi to 14,000 low-income families and social welfare facilities in the region. The total amount is about 670 million KRW.
