Incheon Soraedaegyo 6-Lane Expansion Opens... Alleviating Traffic Congestion Around Soraepogu
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] The expansion work on Sorae Bridge, connecting Incheon and Siheung in Gyeonggi Province, has been completed, and the road section was fully opened at 6 a.m. on the 3rd.
The Sorae Bridge expansion project involved widening the 880-meter section from a 4-lane road to a 6-lane road, with a construction cost of 17 billion KRW since its commencement in 2017.
After various difficulties, including maintenance of fishing equipment storage containers under Sorae Bridge and coordination with the Yeongdong Expressway expansion project, the road was partially opened in September this year and has now been fully opened.
Until now, the area around Sorae Port experienced heavy traffic congestion, causing significant inconvenience to residents due to noise and dust generated by the traffic.
