On the same day, Jin posted on his Facebook, saying, "Isn't it a statement expressing a strong desire to diligently build and supply apartments if possible?"
He raised his voice, saying, "Isn't it a way of saying that apartments are different from bread and cannot be made as freely as one wishes?" and "As the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in charge of real estate issues, is this something she shouldn't say?"
He continued, "Where is the lack of awareness about real estate issues?" and criticized, "Politics is done with words, but let's really be reasonable."
Jin added, "Let's stop the act of nitpicking and slandering without alternatives," and "There is not even enough time to discuss the essence."

Earlier, on the 30th of last month, Minister Kim compared apartments to 'bread' and said that it is difficult for the government to supply apartments immediately.
During a current affairs inquiry at the National Assembly Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee, in response to Democratic Party lawmaker Kim Gyo-heung's remark, "Due to a shortage of apartment listings, there is a problem with jeonse (long-term deposit lease), and measures focused on one- to two-person households were presented," Minister Kim said, "If apartments were 'bread,' I would stay up all night to make them, but apartments take a long construction period, so it is difficult to prepare them immediately."

Subsequently, opposition parties criticized the analogy of the pain of homeless people to 'bread' as inappropriate, mocking with comments such as "Are you Marie 'Bread'Antoinette?" and "Are you 'Brown Rice Bread' Antoinette?" This criticism alludes to the statement by Marie Antoinette, queen of France under Louis XVI, "If there is no bread, let them eat cake."
