6 Additional Confirmed Cases Including 2 with Unknown Infection Routes in Gwangju
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] In Gwangju, a confirmed case with an unclear infection route has emerged, expanding the quarantine frontlines that health authorities must maintain.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 1st, six people were confirmed positive in the afternoon and were classified as cases 721 to 726 in the region.
Cases 721 and 722 are residents of Ilgok-dong and Ochi-dong in Buk-gu, respectively, and their infection routes are currently unclear.
Case 723, a resident of Imam-dong in Nam-gu, is a contact of Gwangju case 715, who was confirmed positive the previous day and is related to case 306 in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul.
Case 724 was a contact of case 597 and tested positive in the pre-release quarantine test. Case 597 was a contact of case 546, a neurosurgery resident who was the first confirmed case at Chonnam National University Hospital.
Case 725 is a nurse at Chonnam National University Hospital who tested positive in the pre-release quarantine test.
