Gwangju Bank Holds 52nd Anniversary Celebration Ceremony
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Bank (President Song Jong-wook) announced on the 20th that it held its 52nd anniversary ceremony.
Due to the upgrade to social distancing level 1.5 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the ceremony was held with strict quarantine measures such as venue disinfection and mask-wearing, and the number of attendees was limited.
At the anniversary ceremony, plaques of appreciation were presented to grateful customers who dedicated themselves to the development of the regional economy and gave unwavering support to Gwangju Bank’s 52 years, and commendations were awarded to outstanding employees who did their best in their duties.
Gwangju Bank took its first step on November 20, 1968, with a capital of 150 million won and 57 employees, and over 52 years, it has overcome various external challenges to grow into a representative local bank of Gwangju and Jeonnam.
Up to the third quarter of this year, Gwangju Bank achieved a net profit of 137.7 billion won and a NIM (Net Interest Margin) of 2.24%, maintaining top-tier asset soundness in the banking sector with a non-performing loan ratio of 0.41% and a delinquency ratio of 0.37%. Despite the COVID-19 crisis, it achieved favorable results based on a solid foundation.
