Boseong-gun Decides to Suspend Operation of Public Multi-use Facilities Amid COVID-19 Spread

[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 19th, Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, held an emergency countermeasure meeting as COVID-19 rapidly spread in nearby areas such as Suncheon and Gwangju, and announced the decision to suspend the operation of public multi-use facilities as a preemptive measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The facilities to be suspended from the 21st include △ Yulpo Sea Water Green Tea Center, △ Boseong-gun Citizens Sports Center, △ Beolgyo Sports Center, △ Senior Citizens' Centers (446 locations), △ Taebaeksanmaek Literature Museum, △ Baekmin Art Museum, and △ Korea Tea Museum, among cultural, welfare, and sports facilities.
Jeamsan Natural Recreation Forest will operate normally, but face-to-face experience facilities will be suspended. The resumption of operations will be decided after monitoring the COVID-19 spread trends in nearby areas. Detailed operation schedules can be checked on the Boseong-gun Office website.
Enhanced quarantine measures will be implemented at private businesses such as PC rooms, saunas, and restaurants, and religious organizations are advised to refrain from providing meals.
In particular, public officials in Boseong-gun had been practicing social distancing at level 1.5, but due to the recent increase in confirmed cases related to hospitals, they have decided to strongly enforce postponement of health checkups and refrain from private gatherings after work.
