View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suwan] As Minister of Justice Choo Mi-ae revealed photos of flower baskets she received from supporters, some criticism has followed.
Professor Kim Geun-sik of Gyeongnam National University, who is the head of the People Power Party's Songpa-byeong district committee in Seoul, wrote on his Facebook on the 19th, "It seems that Minister Choo has now started Instagram politics managed by her aides, not just her own Facebook," and pointed out, "Looking at the Instagram account, it was the aides promoting the activities of Minister Choo, the member of the National Assembly."
Professor Kim said, "It seems she is embarrassed to appear herself and is promoting the Ministry of Justice's flower path through her aides. It is a staged photo conscious of someone taking pictures in front," and criticized, "Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol did not promote the support wreaths himself or pose with genuine emotional expressions. Minister Choo had her aides do self-promotion and even posted staged photos."
He also said, "Even if the aides suggested taking photos with the flower path background and posting them on Instagram, I would have stopped it," and added, "Truly a person without any sense."
Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon also shared Minister Choo's flower basket photo on his Facebook the same day, saying, "Minister Choo seems personally jealous of Prosecutor General Yoon. Every action is full of personal feelings," and sarcastically remarked, "Nightclub 'Knife Dance' grand opening. Look for 'Deng-bujang' at the entrance."
The 'nightclub' mentioned by former professor Jin refers to a term first used by pro-government Deputy Chief Prosecutor Jin Hye-won of the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office last month, regarding the wreaths supporting Prosecutor General Yoon lined up in front of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office.
At that time, Prosecutor Jin Hye-won metaphorically said, "I thought the Supreme Prosecutors' Office had opened a nightclub." Former professor Jin used the same metaphor to mock Minister Choo's photo.

The delivered flower baskets contained messages supporting Minister Choo, such as "We support you," "Take care of your health," and "Cheer up."
The staff managing the account introduced it as "a flower path in the minister's office made from the numerous bouquets received by the minister every day."
They added, "I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who sent their support," and wrote, "The minister's office is full of the scent of flowers. By the way, I wonder what the minister was thinking."
Meanwhile, at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office in Seocho-gu, Seoul, wreaths supporting Prosecutor General Yoon were continuously delivered and displayed in front of the main gate from the 19th of last month to the 2nd of this month. At that time, when Minister Choo exercised her investigative directive authority over the Lime Asset Management lobbying scandal case, supporters sent wreaths to cheer for Prosecutor General Yoon.
