Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 19th at 10 a.m. that a total of 16 confirmed cases occurred since 5 p.m. the previous day: 12 in Changwon, 2 in Hadong, and 2 in Jinju.
In Hadong, where a cluster infection among middle school students occurred, two teenagers (Gyeongnam 419 and 427) were newly confirmed positive. As a result, the cumulative confirmed cases in Hadong reached 19, including 15 middle school students.
In Changwon, 12 people (cases 420?423, 426, 428?434), including a man in his 20s with an unknown infection route, tested positive.
In Jinju, two women in their 50s (cases 424 and 425) were confirmed positive. It was reported that they had contact with a middle school teacher from Hadong (case 397) residing in Jinju, who was confirmed positive on the 17th.

Quarantine authorities are investigating the infection routes and contacts of the confirmed cases. Accordingly, the cumulative confirmed cases in the province have increased to 431. Of these, 332 have been discharged and 99 are currently hospitalized.
