Busan Gwangyang High School Group Food Poisoning... 59 Symptomatic Including Vomiting and Diarrhea (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] At Busan Seogu Tourism High School, 59 students and staff members showed symptoms of food poisoning, prompting health authorities to conduct an epidemiological investigation.
On the 18th, the Busan Seogu Public Health Center announced that it conducted specimen tests on a total of 129 people, including students and staff of Busan Tourism High School, over two sessions from the 9th to the 10th.
The test results released on the 16th confirmed that 54 students and 5 staff members, including teachers and nutritionists, were diagnosed with food poisoning. Those affected reported symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.

Since then, the health authorities have been conducting an epidemiological investigation at the school to determine the cause of the food poisoning. Additionally, the Seogu District Office collected preserved food samples from around the time of the outbreak and requested testing.
