Foreign Workers Can Apply for Workplace Change and Departure Notice Online
[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyun-jung] The Ministry of Employment and Labor announced that it will revamp the Employment Permit System (EPS) to allow foreign workers to apply for workplace change requests and departure notifications online without visiting local offices, starting from the 18th.
This revamp was prepared to expand non-face-to-face services due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and to enhance convenience for foreign workers who find it difficult to visit local offices. It supports 16 languages including those of Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam, and applications can also be made through the Foreign Employment Management app. Departure notifications will be supported starting from the 25th.
The application method involves logging into the Employment Permit System (EPS), entering the reason for the workplace change request, desired employment industry, preferred work location, wages, and contact information on the workplace change request screen.
