A Man in His 60s Collapses and Dies During Sunday Grocery Delivery Duty
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Juhee] An employee belonging to a delivery agency company for a major domestic mart's online mall collapsed and died while performing delivery duties on a Sunday.
According to the Goyang Police Station and fire authorities, at around 1:10 PM on the 15th, Mr. A (65) was found collapsed in front of an elevator at an apartment in Goyang City.
An apartment resident reportedly opened the front door to retrieve a delivered item and discovered Mr. A collapsed in front of the elevator, then called 119.
The resident performed emergency measures including cardiopulmonary resuscitation on Mr. A, but he was confirmed dead after being transported to the hospital.
Mr. A belonged to a delivery logistics agency company dedicated to a major domestic mart's online mall and was found to usually take one day off per week.
It was reported that Mr. A showed no unusual signs that day, having had coffee with colleagues before starting deliveries in the morning.
The company where Mr. A worked typically divided about 30 delivery tasks per day into two rounds, and the location where Mr. A collapsed was the 16th delivery point, the last of the first round.
