Korean Air's Songhyeon-dong Land Sale, Jeon Hyun-hee "Provisional Conclusion by the End of This Month"
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] The mediation by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission regarding the sale of Korean Air's Songhyeon-dong site is expected to conclude by the end of this month.
On the 12th, Jeon Hyun-hee, Chairperson of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, responded to a question about the progress of the mediation process for the sale of the Songhyeon-dong site at the National Assembly's Special Committee on Budget and Accounts plenary session, stating, "A tentative conclusion on the mediation content has been reached," and added, "It will be finalized by the end of this month at the latest."
Chairperson Jeon added, "We expect good coordination among Seoul City, Korean Air, and related agencies."
According to industry sources, Seoul City and Korean Air have tentatively agreed to sign the final agreement on the 26th.
A third-party purchase method, where Seoul City secures the Songhyeon-dong land through the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), is being strongly considered.
