[Photo] Oh Seung-rok, Nowon District Mayor, Attends Gongneung Lifelong Education Center Opening Ceremony
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 12th at 2 PM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, Seoul, attended the opening ceremony of the Gongneung Lifelong Education Center (Gongneung 1-dong).
The Gongneung Lifelong Education Center is the second resident lifelong education facility following the Nowon Lifelong Education Center. It is located on the basement first floor of the Premiers MCO building at Exit 6 of Taereungipgu Station on Line 7. The total area is 546.78㎡ and it is equipped with three classrooms, two multipurpose rooms, and a barista practice room.
Currently, 19 courses are being piloted, and based on satisfaction surveys and other feedback, about 20 courses will be officially operated starting next year.
The opening ceremony was attended by about 50 people including the district mayor, district council members, heads of functional organizations from Gongneung 1 and 2-dong, instructors and students of the Gongneung Lifelong Education Center. The event proceeded in the order of national anthem, congratulatory speeches, ribbon cutting, commemorative photo session, and facility tour.
