Gumi City Opens 'Yeonaksan Forest Bathing Area' Near Ancient Suda Temple from the Silla Period
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] On the 12th, Gumi City in Gyeongbuk opened the eco-friendly forest rest area 'Yeonaksan Forest Bathing Site' in the Sudasa Temple forest area of Sangsong-ri, Mueul-myeon.
To meet the changing demands of forest recreation trends, Gumi City invested 400 million KRW over 15 hectares around Yeonaksan to create a 650m barefoot red clay walking trail, a red clay pool where visitors can touch and play with red clay, foot washing stations, and hammock (net) facilities in the forest where people can lie down and look at the sky.

The forest bathing site is expected to become a local tourist attraction due to its geographical advantage of being located near Sudasa, an ancient temple founded during the Unified Silla period, and serving as a hiking course leading to the summit of Yeonaksan.
