Haenam-gun Wins SNS Triple Crown Title, 'Communication Administration Shined'

Hosted by the Korea Internet Communication Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Communications Commission, the Korea Communication Awards discover excellent cases of institutions communicating with consumers using digital communication marketing tools such as SNS, and present awards in categories including social media, internet communication, and empathetic content.
In particular, Haenam-gun demonstrated unprecedented dominance by winning the Grand Prize in the Basic Local Government category at the 10th Korea SNS Awards, the Best Facebook Award at the 6th 2020 SNS of the Year, and now the Grand Prize at the Korea Communication Awards, verifying its SNS communication capabilities and content excellence.
Haenam-gun has promoted strengthening social media (SNS) marketing as a key task of the 7th elected administration, informing the public about government policies, Haenam’s history, culture, tourism, and specialty products through Facebook, blogs, Twitter, and more.
Especially, Haenam’s YouTube channel, which introduces the charm of Haenam, was launched with promotional content called ‘GongTuber’ produced and starring public officials themselves, attracting attention through video production.
Haenam-gun’s YouTube channel has achieved over 125,000 views in just over a year, and notably, its Facebook followers have surpassed 31,000, ranking first among county-level units in Jeollanam-do.
Through this, Haenam-gun is actively communicating with residents on overall government affairs, and is recognized as one of the few county-level governments with active resident participation via SNS.
