IAEA: "Iran Holds Low-Enriched Uranium Exceeding Allowed Limit by 12 Times"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) revealed on the 11th (local time) that Iran is stockpiling uranium exceeding 12 times the limit set by the nuclear agreement (JCPOA - Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action).
Through a confidential document distributed to member states, the IAEA reported that as of the 2nd of this month, Iran has stockpiled 2,442.9 kg of low-enriched uranium. This is an increase of about 340 kg compared to 2,105.4 kg in August.
According to the Iran nuclear agreement, Iran is allowed to possess only 202.8 kg of low-enriched uranium based on uranium isotopes. The Iran nuclear agreement was signed in 2015 by the United States, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, China, Russia, and others.

The IAEA also reported that Iran has raised the enrichment level to 4.5%, which is higher than the 3.67% limit set by the nuclear agreement.
