Hanwha Co., Ltd. Conducts Volunteer Activities for Residents of Chungcheong Province
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Hanwha Co., Ltd. conducted volunteer activities to share warm affection with various local neighbors, including local farmers and families with disabilities, centered around its business sites in Chungcheong Province to welcome the autumn season.
Recently, Hanwha Boeun Plant purchased a large quantity of local agricultural products worth about 60 million KRW, including 1.2 tons of jujubes and 2.8 tons of apples, to support farmers in Boeun-gun who have been struggling due to this year's COVID-19 pandemic and prolonged rainy season. The purchased agricultural products will be distributed to the plant's employees as part of welfare efforts.
Additionally, on the 2nd, Hanwha Asan 1 Plant, together with Hanwha Aerospace Co., Ltd. Asan Plant, donated uniforms to support the Disabled Sports Club Development Project operated by the Asan City Disabled Welfare Center (Director Lee Chang-ho).
CEO Geum Chun-soo said, "We hope that our help can provide even a little strength to local residents during these difficult times," adding, "We will continue to strive to provide more assistance to the local community through social contribution activities that enhance the value of sharing."

Earlier, the Boeun Plant created and distributed kits consisting of seasonal foods and handheld fans in July to help grandparent-headed households overcome COVID-19 and endure the summer. The Asan Plant also donated funds to Asan City in October to assist with the installation of yellow footprints for the traffic safety of local children. Hanwha Co., Ltd. plans to continue reviewing various activities that can provide practical help to local residents in the future.
