People Power Party to Establish Intra-Party 'Youth Party' Within the Year... Launch of Steering Committee
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] The People Power Party officially launched a steering committee on the 8th with the goal of establishing a 'Youth Party' within the party by the end of this year.
The People Power Party Youth Party Steering Committee announced that it held its first meeting at 10 a.m. at the Yeouido Central Party Office on the same day. Previously, on the 5th, the committee reported its formation and activity plans to the party's Emergency Response Committee.
The Youth Party Steering Committee is an organization aimed at creating a new youth-led political platform by reflecting the opinions of youth organizations and young party members within the party.
Park Seongmin, Chairperson of the Central Student Committee, and Assemblyman Kim Byungwook will serve as co-chairs of the steering committee. Assemblywoman Hwang Bo Seunghee, youth out-of-office party branch chairpersons, senior vice chairpersons of the Central Youth Committee, youth chairpersons of city and provincial party organizations, young local assembly members, youth party secretariat officials, and aides will also participate as members.
The steering committee plans to hold online and offline discussions and regional meetings to gather opinions from young party members nationwide.
