Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station Launches 'Fire Truck Right-of-Way' Car Parade Campaign
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station (Chief Im Jongbok) announced on the 8th that on the 6th, it conducted a ‘Fire Truck Courtesy Car Parade’ and ‘Street Promotion’ focusing on major roads and densely populated areas in the jurisdiction.
This campaign was organized to coincide with ‘Firefighting Day’ and ‘Fire Prevention Emphasis Month’ to spread public awareness of yielding to fire trucks and to create an atmosphere of fire prevention.
The event mobilized 38 firefighters and volunteer firefighters along with 8 fire trucks, starting from Hanam 119 Safety Center and proceeding with a fire truck car parade to Gwangju Songjeong Station.
Also, at Gwangju Songjeong Station, under the slogan ‘1 (one fire extinguisher or fire detector per household/vehicle) 1 (at least one) 9 (equipped) Let’s prepare,’ a street march campaign promoting residential fire safety equipment was held.
