LG Uplus "Complex Cultural Space 'Teum' Gaining Spotlight as Communication Channel for MZ Generation"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] LG Uplus announced on the 8th that the complex cultural space 'Ilsangbi Ilsang-ui Teum (Teum)' in Gangnam, Seoul, is gaining attention as a new communication space for the MZ generation. Certification shots and voluntary experience stories from MZ generation visitors to Teum have become a hot topic on social networking services (SNS), leading to a continuous stream of inquiries from media and planning companies.
LG Uplus held a contactless (untact) lecture for the MZ generation titled "Changing everyday life in my own way" on the 28th of last month at Teum, called '15 Minutes to Change the World' (hereafter Sebasi). The lecture was conducted live via Zoom and YouTube. Five speakers who have recently captivated the MZ generation appeared: rapper Jo Gwang-il, Taejae, an independent bookstore operator and author of Storybook & Film, Miss Korea and Kabaddi national representative Woo Hee-jun, 'Rapping Teacher' Dalji, and fashion & beauty creator Hazel.
The speakers shared their experiences of setting their own life direction and practicing toward success according to the MZ generation’s representative keyword 'My-sider' (My-sider: setting and following one’s own standards). LG Uplus stated, "The cumulative number of lecture attendees exceeded 16,500, marking the highest record among all Sebasi untact lectures." This video can be viewed again on the Sebasi YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/user/cbs15min).
On the 3rd, filming was conducted at Teum upon the request of the Seoul Tourism Foundation and KBS 2TV for a new entertainment program introducing Seoul’s tourist attractions called 'Play Seoul.' Teum was introduced as a rising playground for the MZ generation and a space for healing and recharging with unique content on each floor. Additionally, on the 29th of last month at 11 p.m., the Apple iPhone 12 launch event 'Teummanneum Z Mamdaero' was also held at Teum.
