Jeju Police Agency's Voice Phishing Prevention Sculpture at NongHyup Draws Attention
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters (Jeju) Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] The Jeju Provincial Police Agency announced on the 3rd that, together with the Nonghyup Jeju Headquarters, they installed a unique sculpture to promote the prevention of telephone financial fraud at the Nonghyup Bank Jeju Branch located in Samdo 1-dong, Jeju City.
This sculpture features a 50,000 won bill hanging from a fishing rod suspended from the ceiling, with a promotional video playing on the ceiling cover next to the bill.
It was designed to raise awareness among bank visitors who see the money caught on the fishing rod, warning them that "if you let your guard down, you too can be caught by voice phishing."
The Jeju Police Agency and the Nonghyup Central Association Jeju Headquarters plan to install this sculpture at four additional Nonghyup branches in the province within this month.
