Biden Does Not Rule Out Declaring Victory in Tomorrow's Election
Biden Camp Dismisses Possibility of Trump Declaring Victory on Election Day
Suggests Early Victory Declaration Possible Based on Wins in Key Battleground States
[Asia Economy New York=Correspondent Baek Jong-min] Joe Biden, the Democratic presidential candidate's campaign team, asserted that President Donald Trump would not be able to declare victory on the night of the 3rd, and rather predicted that Biden might declare victory.
Jen O'Malley Dillon, Biden's campaign manager, said this during a video briefing on election day, November 2 (local time). Dillon said, "We expect Biden will probably give a speech on election night."
Regarding reports that President Trump would declare victory on election day, Dillon confidently stated, "Under no scenario can Trump declare victory on election day."
He argued that for President Trump to declare victory on election day based on in-person voting, he would need to secure 61% of the vote in Wisconsin, 62% in North Carolina, and 60% in Arizona. He predicted that Biden would secure Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, thus obtaining 270 electoral votes.
Dillon made it clear that they would never be defeated in any anticipated election lawsuits. He emphasized, "Trump's lawyers will not win any lawsuits related to this election."
He said, "We are perfectly prepared for any legal attempts to steal the election. We are not worried at all. We will protect the vote." Bob Bauer, senior advisor to the campaign, also warned, "Voter intimidation is illegal and will be prosecuted."
