View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Oh Hyun-joo, Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, has been appointed as an advisory member of the United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) for the 2020?2022 term.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 2nd, CERF was established in 2006 to provide rapid financial support for humanitarian crises worldwide. The 18 advisory members, selected by the UN Secretary-General, play a role in offering opinions on policies related to humanitarian crisis response, including the efficient use of the fund.
