Muan-gun, Leading Jeonnam in 'Jobs' to Overcome COVID-19
Secured 890 Million KRW in National Funds... Provided Jobs for 230 Vulnerable People
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 2nd that it will provide jobs to 230 vulnerable people by promoting a local job project to support the livelihoods of the unemployed due to COVID-19 and to recover the local economy.
The county applied for the local job project to the government last September and secured 890 million won in national funds. This is the largest number of people and project budget among the 22 cities and counties in Jeollanam-do, and this project is fully funded by the national government.
The project period is from the 2nd to December 25, and participants will perform tasks such as temperature checks and disinfection at 73 locations including government offices, multi-use facilities, and schools.

A county official said, “We will do our best to protect the health of residents by preventing the spread of infectious diseases through the local job project,” and added, “We will continue to actively promote job projects for local residents.”
