Ssangyong Motor Sales Recover to 10,000 Units in 4 Months... October Records Highest Performance This Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] SsangYong Motor announced that it recorded its highest monthly sales this year by selling a total of 10,197 units in October, including 7,612 units domestically and 2,585 units for export.
SsangYong Motor disclosed these results on the 2nd through the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system.
Specifically, domestic sales decreased by 5.4% compared to the same month last year, despite an increase in Tivoli sales following the launch of the Tivoli Air and a rise in pre-orders for the All New Rexton, due to temporary production adjustments related to the new model launch.
On the other hand, exports recorded the highest sales of the year, increasing by 59% and 20.2% compared to the same month last year. Thanks to the export growth, total sales surpassed 10,000 units for the first time in four months since June.
