Minister Lee Jung-ok of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family to Deliver Lecture on 'Gender-Equal Organizational Culture' to Metropolitan Local Governments
Sequential Visits to Ulsan City Followed by Seoul, Gyeongsangnam-do, and Chungcheongnam-do
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] On the afternoon of the 3rd, Lee Jung-ok, Minister of Gender Equality and Family, announced on the 2nd that she will visit Ulsan Metropolitan City Hall to give a lecture titled "Innovative Leadership for a Gender-Equal Organizational Culture" to senior public officials including agency heads.
Following Ulsan, the lectures will be held sequentially on the 20th in Seoul, on the 18th of next month in Gyeongsangnam-do, and on the 21st in Chungcheongnam-do.
The Minister plans to diagnose the current status of our society aiming for gender equality and discuss tasks necessary to resolve conflicts arising from generational and gender perception gaps, as well as to create a horizontal and gender-equal workplace culture. The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family will revise related guidelines to conduct customized special training such as discussion-based or participatory formats tailored to the characteristics of senior officials including agency heads, and will also conduct inspections on the participation status of senior officials in preventive education across all local governments.

The Minister said, "Senior officials including agency heads must listen to the voices of members based on gender sensitivity and reflect them in agency operations," adding, "The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family will support the creation of a gender-equal workplace culture so that local governments can innovatively lead change."
