The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission Issues 'Civil Complaint Forecast' for Partition Panels at Suneung Exam Sites
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission announced on the 2nd that it has issued a civil complaint forecast to related agencies to actively respond to the operation of the 2021 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) test sites, including the installation of desk partitions.
The civil complaint forecast is a measure by the Commission to induce active responses from related agencies when civil complaints are expected to occur during a specific period or when there is a concern about a sudden increase in complaints due to heightened public interest.
So far this year, about 150 complaints related to the CSAT have been received.
In the case of last year, complaints were raised in the order of ▲inconvenience and dissatisfaction with test site operations on the test day (37.6%) ▲inconvenience in CSAT registration (16.9%) ▲inquiries and suggestions related to the test (16.2%).
Up to now, about a month before the 2021 CSAT day, complaints mainly consist of ▲inquiries and suggestions related to the test (45.4%) ▲inconvenience in CSAT registration (44.7%).
Due to the impact of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), it is expected that complaints regarding inquiries and suggestions related to the 2021 CSAT, which will be held this year, will increase. Complaints raised by anxious test-takers and parents until the test day are also expected to rise.
Examples of complaints received this year include ▲use of non-contact thermometers for temperature measurement before entering the test site ▲relaxation of mandatory mask-wearing for test-takers with bronchial-related diseases such as rhinitis or asthma ▲prior adaptation of test-takers to test sites with partitions ▲changes in the specifications of test papers.
