The Ministry of Education announced that it will proceed with additional registrations to support as many families as possible using the budget secured through the 4th supplementary budget.
The support amount is 200,000 KRW per elementary school-aged child and 150,000 KRW per middle school-aged child.
Among children of elementary and middle school age, Korean children who are not enrolled in public or private elementary, middle, high schools, or special schools can receive support by applying and registering in person at the education support office of the child's resident registration address.
Guardians of out-of-school children must visit the education support office with their guardian ID, a copy of the bankbook, and a resident registration certificate, and fill out the temporary child-rearing support application form to apply for the support fund. In the case of a proxy who is not the guardian, the proxy must additionally submit the proxy's ID (for verification), a power of attorney, and a copy of the guardian's ID.
