Volvo Hosts Eco-Friendly Running Event '2020 Untact Hey, Plogging'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Volvo Cars Korea announced on the 29th that it will hold the eco-friendly running event "2020 Untact Hey, Plogging" as part of its ongoing social contribution activities.
Plogging is a campaign combining the Swedish word 'Plocka Upp' (to pick up) and the English word 'Jogging,' where participants enjoy running while picking up trash. Volvo Cars has been hosting the event under the name "Hey, Plogging" since 2019, and this year it will be held as "2020 Untact Hey, Plogging."
The event, which runs for nine days from the 31st of this month to the 8th of next month, allows anyone to participate easily without prior registration. To join, participants need to share a photo of themselves plogging on Instagram during the event period with the three mandatory hashtags: #VolvoPlogging #UntactHeyPlogging #Plogging. However, only plogging done with a mask on and in groups of two or fewer will be recognized as valid participation.
Among the participants, prizes will be awarded by lottery, including ▲a 2-person accommodation voucher for Paradise City Hotel (1 winner), ▲an Electrolux air purifier (1 winner), ▲Bowers & Wilkins headphones (2 winners), ▲Thule carriers (5 winners), and ▲Smellwell shoe deodorizers (300 units). Winners will be announced individually on the 11th of next month.
