Drunk Driving Crash into Police Bus... Caught After Hit-and-Run Collision with Taxi
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A woman in her 40s who fled after hitting a police bus while driving under the influence was caught by the police after causing another traffic accident.
The Dongjak Police Station in Seoul announced on the 25th that they arrested a woman in her 40s, identified as A, on charges of drunk driving after she collided with a police riot control bus parked in front of a convenience store road in Dongjak-gu at around 4:30 a.m. while on duty guarding former President Kim Young-sam's residence.
According to the police, after hitting the police bus, A fled for about 10 minutes before being caught when she caused a minor collision with a taxi waiting at a traffic light at the southern end intersection of Hangang Bridge.
At the time of the accident, A's blood alcohol concentration was reported to be at the level warranting license cancellation.
Five riot police officers inside the police bus sustained minor injuries from the accident.
