[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 24th at 2:30 PM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, held a donation ceremony with participating companies at the direct transaction market site in Junggye Neighborhood Park, Goheung-gun.
The ceremony was arranged after 30 companies participating in the direct transaction market expressed their intention to donate some specialty products to vulnerable groups. They donated 20 types of agricultural, marine, and specialty products from Goheung, including pomegranates, yuzu, and gim, worth about 10 million KRW.
The event was attended by Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, participating companies, and organizations of the direct transaction market, and the donated items will be delivered to neighbors in need and marginalized communities through the Nowon Education Welfare Foundation.
The direct transaction market, held for three days from the 22nd at Junggye Neighborhood Park, featured 30 companies from Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do, selling about 100 items including Goheung specialty products such as yuzu, pomegranates, and gim at prices 10-30% lower than market prices.
