In the Sauna, "Why Are You Touching My Body?"... False Report to Extort Cash, Ultimately Sentenced to Prison
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Eun-young] A man in his 50s who lied to a drunken man in a sauna sleeping room, claiming "You sexually harassed me," and then extorted a settlement payment was sentenced to three years in prison in the first trial.
On the 24th, Ulsan District Court Criminal Division 3 Judge Kim Yong-hee announced that A (52), who was tried on charges of blackmail and false accusation, was sentenced to three years in prison.
On December 29 of last year, around 4:20 a.m., A shook B (30), who was sleeping drunk in a sauna sleeping room in Seoul, woke him up, and shouted, "Why are you touching my body?"
B replied, "I don't remember, but I don't think I harassed you," and A threatened, "I will report you to the police," and it is known that he actually called 112.
When the police arrived after the report, A again said, "I do not want to file a case," and sent them away. He then threatened B, who was crying and apologizing in fear, saying, "If you don't give me money, I will report again."
Later, A met B again and took 600,000 won in cash as a settlement payment.
It was later revealed that he also took about 500,000 won from another person in Ulsan using the same method.
