Sangju City Provides 'Visiting Food Market' for Elderly Living Alone... Support from Oeseo-myeon Community Association
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] Sangju City, Gyeongbuk Province, announced on the 21st that on the 20th, the Oeseo-myeon Community Security Council conducted a 'Visiting Food Market' for 19 low-income elderly case management recipients.
The 'Visiting Food Market,' held for the first time this time, is a project that provides nine types of items, including protein-centered foods and fruits, free of charge to low-income households who have difficulty maintaining a balanced diet due to mobility issues.
On the day, council members loaded the food into vehicles and visited homes, allowing recipients to directly select the foods they wanted and also checked on their well-being. The foods included tofu, health porridge, bananas, milk, and eggs. The purchase cost was raised through contributions collected by the council members.
