Changwon City, Seongsan District Office 'Annex' Expansion ... Completion by Year-End
60 Billion KRW Investment
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] The Seongsan-gu Office in Changwon-si, Gyeongnam, will welcome residents with a new look by the end of this year.
Seongsan-gu Office announced on the 20th that the "Annex Building Expansion Construction" project, with a total budget of 6 billion KRW, is currently in its final stages and is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.
Since Seongsan-gu was newly established following the integration of Changwon-si in July 2010, the former Seongju-dong Community Center has been used as the district office. Residents have experienced ongoing inconveniences due to temporary parking and office support facilities being housed in provisional buildings.
To resolve these issues, Seongsan-gu began construction last February to expand an annex building on the site of the former Namsan Municipal Daycare Center within the office premises. The annex will have one basement floor, four above-ground floors, and a total floor area of 2,526 square meters.
The newly expanded annex will accommodate offices for five departments, meeting rooms, document storage, and other support facilities. Three departments from the main building and two departments from the provisional buildings will be relocated there.
