On the 18th, LG Electronics announced that it plans to update the LG Velvet UI on the Q51, Q61, and the V35 ThinQ, which was released two years ago, by the end of the year. The Q70, released last September, completed the update on the 14th.
The LG Velvet UI has been praised for its intuitive and convenient user environment, minimizing notification windows to enhance immersion while watching videos. LG Electronics aims to increase product value by applying the latest UI found in premium smartphones even to budget models.
The main features of the LG Velvet UI being updated this time include ▲changing the volume adjustment screen ▲setting the notification bar point color ▲changing the call notification window shape. The update will be carried out via wireless software update (OTA, Over The Air).
So far, five premium smartphones including the G7, G8, V40, V50, and V50S, and two budget models, Q60 and Q70, a total of seven products, have been updated with the LG Velvet UI. By the end of the year, the signature LG Velvet UI will be applied to a total of 10 products.
LG Electronics is putting all its efforts into after-sales management to provide new value to customers using LG smartphones. Centered on ‘QuickHelp,’ the LG smartphone customer community, it actively collects customer feedback and continuously provides OS upgrades and security patches. Last month, it recruited the first LG fandom group to support activities sharing opinions and information related to LG smartphone usability.
