LG Electronics Launches 'Eradicate Hunger' Campaign in New York Times Square
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyewon] LG Electronics conveyed a message to address hunger issues on the Times Square billboard in Manhattan, New York, USA.
Starting from the 15th (local time) for three days, LG Electronics displayed a promotional video on the Times Square billboard to commemorate 'World Food Day (October 16)' designated by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations.
This video, produced by the FAO, contains a message encouraging many people to take interest and make efforts to end hunger.
Since 2011, LG Electronics has been operating the 'LG Hope Screen' program, allowing international organizations and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to screen public service videos on LG Electronics' billboards located in New York, USA, and London, UK.
Various organizations have used the LG Hope Screen to raise awareness about World Environment Day, Korea's World Cultural Heritage, disaster relief, the United Nations General Assembly, and more.
