'K-Startup' Competitiveness Shines at Global Competition
N.Sing, VisualCamp, Marvelous, NubeeLab Advance to 'Slingshot' Finals
The competitiveness of 'K-Startups' is being recognized at global competitions. According to the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development (President Kim Kwang-hyun) on the 17th, four domestic startup companies have advanced to the finals of a global pitching competition.
At the pitching competition 'Slingshot' of the Singapore FinTech Festival by SWITCH (SFF×SWITCH), held in Singapore, four companies?N.Thing (CEO Kim Hye-yeon), VisualCamp (CEO Seok Yoon-chan), Marblus (CEO Lim Se-ra), and NubiLab (CEO Kim Dae-hoon)?advanced to the finals after competing against 7,500 global startups. The winners in each of the five categories will be decided through the finals, and among them, the ultimate champion will be selected. SFF×SWITCH is an event co-hosted by the Singapore FinTech Festival, the world's largest fintech exhibition, and Singapore Innovation Technology Week, and will be held online for five days from December 7 to 11.
The Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development selects 30 startups with excellent capabilities through its global pitching competition participation support project and supports their participation in three global pitching competitions. Along with SFF×SWITCH, events such as Dubai's GITEX Future Stars are also supported. This event, hosted by the Dubai government, will be held over four days starting December 6. Applications for this competition will be accepted until the 13th of next month.

A representative from the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development said, "This project aims to support domestic startups in promoting their startup items by participating in pitching competitions at global startup events and facilitating exchanges with multinational stakeholders," adding, "Together with the global accelerator SparkLabs, we provide comprehensive support for all preparations necessary for participating in pitching competitions, from application and registration for global pitching competitions to pitching mentoring and stage manners."
