Kia Motors Launches 2021 K5 Model... "Standardizing Customer-Preferred Features"
Price Range: 23.56 Million to 33.65 Million KRW
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Kia Motors launched the updated model of the "mid-size sedan leader" K5 on the 16th. The 2021 K5 is characterized by standardizing features preferred by its main customer base while maintaining price competitiveness.
Kia actively reflected customer feedback to configure trim-specific features and expanded the range of optional features, broadening customer choices. The laminated soundproof glass for the front seats, previously only available on the top-tier Signature trim, has been extended to all 2021 K5 trims to enhance quietness. Additionally, from the key Noblesse trim, knit interior materials were applied to the A-pillar and B-pillar, raising the overall sense of luxury.
The Remote 360-degree View function was newly added to the 2021 K5, allowing users to check the vehicle's surroundings in all directions via smartphone video.
Furthermore, the Head-Up Display (HUD) was made available as a standalone option, with the price reduced by 100,000 KRW to 640,000 KRW to lessen customer burden. The lane sensor and auto defog functions, previously only available when selecting the HUD option, are now standard features on the Prestige trim.
The 2021 K5 is priced at 23,560,000 to 30,730,000 KRW for the 2.0 gasoline model, 24,350,000 to 31,510,000 KRW for the 1.6 gasoline turbo model, and 27,540,000 to 33,650,000 KRW for the hybrid model.
Along with the launch of the 2021 K5, Kia has prepared various purchase benefits. Customers who take delivery of the K5 in October using auto installment plans will receive a smartwatch (choice of Apple Watch or Galaxy Watch). Various financial support programs and events are also offered, including 1, 2, and 3 smart low-interest installment plans depending on the installment period, and the 2030 Start Plan to ease the purchasing burden on younger buyers.
