'Extreme Suicide Hint' Poet Park Jin-sung Confirmed Alive
[Asia Economy Reporter Donghoon Jeong] Poet Park Jinseong (42), who posted messages suggesting an extreme choice and then disappeared, has been confirmed to be alive.
The Yongsan Police Station in Seoul announced that they located Park around 8 p.m. on the 15th and are currently protecting him at the Hangangro Police Substation in Yongsan-gu. It was reported that Park returned home with a guardian.
On the previous day, Park posted on his SNS account, "I will quietly end my life without harming anyone." He also expressed his grievance, saying, "The atmosphere where a person is prevented from doing the work they have done for nearly 20 years based solely on suspicions, doubts, and distrust must disappear." Those who saw the post reported it to the police, and a tracking investigation was conducted mainly by the police station's missing persons team.

Earlier, in October 2016, Park was accused within a literary circle of repeatedly sexually assaulting apprentices and others, leading to a Me Too allegation. He was identified as the perpetrator and investigated by the prosecution but was ultimately cleared of charges.
