Uljin-gun Recruiting Participants for Practical Agricultural Training... 11 Sessions with 50 Students Each
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk announced on the 15th that it is recruiting participants for the 2021 New Year Practical Agricultural Education held at the Agricultural Technology Center.
The education will be conducted 11 times throughout the year for about 550 people. The number of recruits per course is 50 (plus an additional 40). Those who wish to participate can apply through the integrated reservation system on the Uljin-gun Office website by the 30th.
The first education session will start from November 24 to December 18 for 4 weeks on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 10 a.m. The courses include eco-friendly pest control, Hanwoo cattle, agricultural product processing, rice, safe use of agricultural machinery, fruit trees, chili peppers, beekeeping, and more.

Jeon Eun-woo, head of the Agricultural Technology Center, said, "From the perspective of responding to COVID-19, the instructors are composed of Agricultural Technology Center staff and local leading farmers," adding, "We will do our best to provide education that utilizes thorough preparation and field experience so that it can be switched to non-face-to-face if the COVID-19 situation worsens, to help farmers."
