Jangseong-gun Selected as 'Top SNS Evaluation Institution' for 4 Consecutive Years
10th Korea SNS Awards Basic Local Government Category Winner
[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, was selected as the best institution in the basic local government category at the 10th Korea SNS Awards.
Since 2016, Jangseong-gun has operated various SNS channels such as Naver Blog, Facebook, Instagram, and KakaoStory, achieving the remarkable feat of being selected as the best institution for four consecutive years since its first award in 2017.
The county communicates with many SNS users, including residents, through diverse and interesting content. It has played a significant role in delivering information about policies, tourism, restaurants, and agricultural specialties in an easy-to-understand manner. During festivals such as the Hwangryonggang Yellow Flower Festival, various events were held to enhance promotional effects.
This year, it contributed to reducing residents' anxiety by delivering fast and accurate information during disaster situations such as COVID-19 and flood damage.

Yoo Doo-seok, the mayor of Jangseong-gun, said, “Due to the COVID-19 situation, the proportion of online non-face-to-face activities is increasing,” and added, “We plan to continue active SNS operations to carry out effective promotional activities.”
