Prosecutors Seek Death Penalty for Husband in Gwanak-gu Mother and Child Murder Case on Appeal Trial
[Asia Economy Reporter Seongpil Cho] The prosecution has requested the death penalty again in the appeal trial for a husband accused of killing his wife and 6-year-old son in a multi-family house in Gwanak-gu, Seoul.
On the 15th, at the appeal trial presided over by the Criminal Division 2 of the Seoul High Court (Chief Judge Ham Sang-hoon), the prosecution asked the court to "sentence according to the original prosecution's demand." Jo was indicted last August for killing his wife and son with a weapon in a multi-family house in Gwanak-gu, Seoul. This is the so-called 'Gwanak-gu mother and son murder case.'
