Chonnam National University Hospital and Labor Union Reach Final Agreement on Wage Collective Bargaining
Wage Increase of 2.8% and Promotion of Ward Nursing Staff to Grade 1
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam National University Hospital (Director Lee Sam-yong) and the Health and Medical Industry Labor Union Jeonnam National University Hospital Branch (Branch Chief Kim Hye-ran) have reached a final agreement on the 2020 wage collective bargaining.
According to Jeonnam National University Hospital on the 15th, the labor-management agreement signing ceremony held the day before was attended by about 20 officials from both sides, including Director Lee Sam-yong and Health and Medical Industry Labor Union Chairperson Na Soon-ja.
In a warm atmosphere, Director Lee Sam-yong and Chairperson Na Soon-ja signed the agreement and pledged to continue a healthy labor-management relationship through dialogue and compromise for the development of the hospital.
The main agreement contents signed by both sides on that day include ▲a 2.8% wage increase ▲gradual promotion of ward nursing staff to grade 1 ▲replenishment of 50 personnel in each department ▲consultation and decision on the timing and method of converting outsourced workers to regular employees.
Director Lee said, “Let us make further efforts to become a patient-centered hospital trusted and moved not only by visiting patients but also by local residents through this labor-management agreement.”
