View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Kim Jong-gap, President of Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), stated on the 15th, "We will establish a roadmap to introduce a reasonable electricity tariff system that the public can understand and empathize with, creating a growth foundation across the entire power industry."
President Kim made these remarks during KEPCO's business report at the National Assembly's Industry, Trade, Energy, Small and Medium Enterprises Committee's audit on the same day.
He said, "The energy industry is facing major changes such as energy transition and digital transformation," adding, "The government has presented the Green New Deal as a new national development strategy to overcome the climate and environmental crisis."
He continued, "KEPCO will expand large-scale renewable energy projects and new energy businesses in line with government policy directions," and "We will accelerate digital transformation across the industry, including customer service and facility maintenance, to maximize customer convenience."
President Kim mentioned, "Together with the power group companies, we will eliminate wasteful elements in all areas of management and improve management efficiency to secure financial soundness."
He also expressed his intention to actively communicate with stakeholders such as the public, the National Assembly, the government, shareholders, and local communities.

He said, "As the only public enterprise listed on the New York Stock Exchange, we will grow into a global corporation and power generation company," and added, "We will fulfill our responsibilities in overcoming difficulties caused by COVID-19, creating jobs for social value realization, caring for marginalized groups, and promoting regional coexistence."
