Damyang-gun Hosts 'Craft Culture Product Contest'
[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Damyang County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Choi Hyung-sik) announced on the 15th that it will hold a nationwide contest for the first time in the county to discover excellent craft cultural products reflecting the region's historical and cultural characteristics and to foster the local craft industry.
This contest is open to all Korean citizens and accepts craft products that embody the region's identity such as culture, history, and tourism resources, and that combine artistry and practicality for everyday use, regardless of material.
However, products that have already been commercialized domestically or internationally, products that are difficult to store or produce and thus hard to commercialize, and products that have already won awards in other contests are excluded.
The submission period is from the 26th to the 30th of this month, and submissions can be made in person or by mail.
