At the government Seoul office's national agenda inspection and coordination meeting held that day, Prime Minister Jeong said, "Before discussing the agenda, I would like to say a few words," mentioning the swift formation of the medical-government consultative body.
Earlier, the government had agreed to discuss medical issues such as the expansion of medical school quotas and the establishment of public medical schools through a consultative body once the COVID-19 situation stabilizes to some extent.
Prime Minister Jeong urged, "I hope you will gather wisdom so that it can benefit both the public and the medical community."
Regarding the agenda item of the day, 'Improvement Measures for Regulatory Difficulties in the Field,' Prime Minister Jeong explained, "Today's agenda is significant in that it carefully identifies difficulties faced by companies pursuing social values and those in the construction sector and prepares support measures. First, for companies realizing social values such as social enterprises, cooperatives, and village enterprises, we have devised measures to lower the entry barriers in public procurement, which is the most challenging area for them, and reduce various administrative burdens to enhance the self-sustainability of these companies."
