Prosecutors Dismiss All Charges Against Min Kyung-wook for 'Election Fraud' Allegations
[Asia Economy Reporter Baek Kyunghwan] Former Future United Party (currently People Power Party) lawmaker Min Kyung-wook, who alleged election fraud in the 21st general election and filed complaints against Central Election Commission officials 17 times, has had all cases dismissed by the prosecution.
According to the legal community on the 14th, the Public Investigation Division 1 of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Yang Dong-hoon) decided on the 5th not to prosecute all 17 cases, including the one in which former lawmaker Min accused election commission officials of violating the Public Official Election Act and leaking official secrets.
Earlier, after the April 15 general election, former lawmaker Min raised suspicions of vote counting manipulation, stating that "the ratio of out-of-district early voting votes to in-district early voting votes matches in several constituencies." During this process, he filed complaints 17 times against Central Election Commission officials, including Standing Commissioner Cho Hae-joo and Secretary-General Park Young-soo.

However, the prosecution concluded that there was no evidence of wrongdoing in the complaints and decided not to prosecute all cases on that day.
