Councilor Lee was recognized for his dedicated field-centered legislative activities in communication with the residents and was awarded the Legislative Award plaque and a gold ring worth 3 don of pure gold engraved with the Korea Legislative Association as a prize.
The Korea Legislative Award is a prestigious award given by the Korea Legislative Association, which is composed of former members of the National Assembly from the Constituent Assembly to the 19th National Assembly. It evaluates the achievements of elected public officials who have contributed to upholding constitutional values, promoting national prosperity, establishing national future strategies, and nurturing future national talents.
Councilor Lee was praised for leading initiatives such as the introduction of the first 1,000-won bus in Geochang County in Gyeongnam Province, the nationwide first ordinance supporting eco-friendly free school meals, the establishment of a northern region agricultural machinery rental center, the promotion of purchasing fallen and low-quality apples damaged by typhoons, and attracting a public theater-specialized high school utilizing a closed school.
Regarding the new construction project of Geochang Detention Center, he actively participated in the five-party consultative body composed of the Ministry of Justice, Geochang County, Geochang County Council, and representatives of the original plan and relocation sides, leading to a successful resolution of conflicts through a residents' referendum.
Councilor Lee Hong-hee said, "I dedicate the honor of this award to the 70,000 residents and my fellow council members," and added, "In the second half of the 8th term, I will strive to establish a council that studies and researches to become an open council that realizes the hopes of the residents."
