KOTRA Hosts New Southern Business Week... Online Consultations and Investment Seminars Held
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] KOTRA will hold an online consultation meeting and an investment cooperation seminar in line with the 'New Southern Business Week' held for two days from the 13th at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul.
First, the online consultation meeting will involve 170 domestic companies and 170 overseas buyers discovered by KOTRA, conducting 360 business consultations. Many buyers from future promising industries such as 5G, ICT, medical bio, and environment are invited to create an opportunity for mutual growth and prosperity between Korea and the New Southern countries.
Wipro, an Indian ICT company participating in the online consultation meeting, expressed expectations, saying, "We hope to combine Indian core technology with Korean manufacturing and application technology to jointly enter third markets."

The speakers urged Korean companies to show interest and invest, stating, "The New Southern countries have recently experienced rapid growth due to infrastructure development and consumption activation."
Meanwhile, due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), non-face-to-face side events utilizing digital technology such as online consultations, web seminars, virtual reality (VR) experiences, and online startup pitching will also be held.
